1. The Hope Diamond is probably the most well known diamond. It's a fancy dark grayish-blue diamond, weighs in at 45.52 carats and is estimated to be worth around $250,000,000. Originally the diamond was 132 carats when it was found in India in 1642. It was adorned in Luis the 14th's royal crown. Sadly, the diamond was stolen during the French revolution. It is believed that the Hope Diamond resurfaced in 1830 and was bought by Henri Thomas Hope {hence the name Hope Diamond} and, since then, it is said that the Hope Diamond is cursed. {Photo above.}
